Hey gang, we're taking a new tactic with spring league's posters. In the past, we've spelled out the reasons it's important to hang posters, put dozens of them in the hands of the league's greatest proponents, suggested places to hang them, begged and pleaded... and at the end of the day, it's pretty much been Jon Coole hanging posters by himself. So we're trying something new for spring league 2006:

Free pizza and beer.

This Thursday, LUFA is buying your dinner and quenching your thirst if you come to Bearno's and commit to hang the posters we tuck under your arm. Details:

By coming to Bearno's and accepting LUFA's hospitality, you are committing to hang at least 8 posters. I will have posters aplenty and lists of likely establishments for poster hanging grouped by neighborhood. We'll enjoy some refreshments and then part ways to spread the good news. Registration for spring league begins Thursday at www.louisvilleultimate.org. League is Sunday afternoons at Seneca, March 12 - April 30.

We're recruiting heavily for spring league, knowing that most people who play a LUFA league have a smashing time and come back for more. That means good turnouts for summer and fall 2006 leagues, it means more people enjoying ultimate in Louisville, and it means a stronger pool of players for the LouEVIL and coed tournament squads. It means more of a good thing. Come be part of it.
